Zapier is an easy-to-use tool for connecting different web applications together, helping to streamline and automate data integration between them. LemonStand's integration to Zapier enables you to easily connect your LemonStand store to 500+ web applications, from marketing tools to customer relationship management, finance & accounting, and many more!

Overview of Zaps and LemonStand Triggers

An integration between two or more apps via Zapier is called a Zap. A Zap is made up of a Trigger and at least one Action. Whenever the trigger happens in one app, Zapier will automatically perform the one or more actions defined for other apps. Cool huh? Currently, the LemonStand triggers that are available to use with Zapier are:

  • New Customer - triggered when a new customer is created
  • New Order - triggered when a new order is created
  • Order Status Changed - triggered when there is any change in order status
  • New Product - triggered when a new product is created

In the future we will be expanding to support even more triggers and actions. 

How To Enable Zapier in Your LemonStand Admin

Navigate to the Integrations page in your LemonStand admin, and select Configure & Activate from the Zapier app dropdown.

Click on the Enable toggle switch to activate the integration in LemonStand, and the click Save.


How To Use Prebuilt Shared Zaps

To make things as easy as possible, we've built a library of shared zaps that automatically connect LemonStand to some of the most popular apps that our customers use in their eCommerce businesses. With just a few mouse clicks you can start using these integrations right away, you can even customize them to fit your needs.

How To Create a Custom Zap to Connect LemonStand to Other Apps

The rest of the configuration will be done in your Zapier account, so login to your account at zapier.com. Click the Make a New Zap button, and enter LemonStand in the search box for choosing a trigger app.

Note

LemonStand is currently in beta with Zapier. We expect to come out of beta soon, and already have a good number of customers using Zapier to integrate their stores to other apps. 

Once you select LemonStand you can choose any of the triggers we offer. After selecting a trigger and an action you can start the authorization process. In this example we'll be using the "New Customer" trigger, which will fire each time a new customer is created in a LemonStand store.

Click on the "Connect a LemonStand Account" button

This will open a popup window where you will need to login to your LemonStand store. This will give Zapier access to the order and customer information for your store.

The domain you enter should be the primary domain of your store. There should not be a trailing slash on the domain. Click Continue to open a login prompt for your LemonStand store. Enter your login credentials and click Allow.



If the login to your store is successful, the popup should close and you should be able to test the connection by clicking on the Test button. A successful connection will display as below and you can move on to the next step by clicking Save + Continue.

In the next step you can view the data being sent from LemonStand based on the trigger you selected to ensure that you're getting the correct data. Make sure that there is a recent record that can be accessed or the test may not be successful. If everything looks good, click Continue to move on to setting up an Action app. 


Now that you've completely set up a LemonStand trigger event, you'll need to choose an app to send data to when this event occurs.  In this example, we'll set up a simple one step Zap which will add or update a subscriber in our MailChimp account when a new customer is created. To begin, we'll select MailChimp as the action app.


We then choose the Add/Update Subscriber action. 


Then we need to connect our account if it's not already connected and test the connection.


We then edit the template for the action, matching fields from LemonStand's trigger to fields for MailChimp subscribers. In this case we've kept things simple and only included required fields. Once your field mapping is complete for your zap, you can click Continue.


You can then preview the test for the action with the sample data as described previously for the trigger and confirm things are working as expected. Once all is working well, you can name your Zap and then toggle it from off to on.



That's all there is to setting up a Zap that sends data from LemonStand to any of the 500+ apps that Zapier has integrated! Even better, Zapier allows you to add multiple steps and filtering logic to create advanced automations, so the sky is the limit!
